GERMANBAN
I am Germán, a 3D Artist based in Granada, Spain.
After getting into VR, I wanted to experiment with asymmetrical experiences that combined an user on the headset with one or multiple users on the computer.
This ended up becoming my first (and ongoing) attempt at making a game: the local asymmetrical VR vs PC horror game
In Escape from Mandrillia, a VR player is put against up to 2 PC players controlling giant monkeys.
Heavily inspired by works like Aliens or Predator, EfM is both a horror experience (for the VR player) and a third-person game of cat-and-mouse (for the PC players).
To accommodate players with different skill levels and tastes, I wanted the game to be as flexible as possible, offering a wide (and expanding) range of match customization. From minor tweaks like respawn time for the monkeys to major game-changing modifiers, you can customize your experience to go from a full-on survival horror game to an action-packed boomer shooter.
If you don't have people to play it with, we have a Discord Server where you'll likely find users wanting to have a match. You'll also be able to closely follow the development of the game and interact with the community*. Although it is a local multiplayer game, it can be played online with people all over the world via use of programs like Parsec or Steam's built-in Remote Play Together.
If you are interested in VR asym experiences and find Escape from Mandrillia enjoyable, consider supporting me so I can keep working on it.
*"community" might mean "me and 2 other nerds"
